Our Mission

The Anonymous Letter Project was designed to create a lasting impact in a stranger’s life through motivational letters sent anonymously.

The sender does not include their name, return address or any other information that reveals who they are.

The receiver decides how the letter created meaning in their life.

Goal One

Anonymously create a meaningful impact to a stranger’s day by mailing a motivational message.

Goal Two

No details are included about the sender so the recipient decides how they are impacted by the message based on their current walk in life.

Goal Three

Break away dividing barriers in how we see, treat and react to one another through small acts of encouragement, generosity and acknowledgement.

Why remain anonymous?

By the sender remaining anonymous, it lets the recipient know they are the focus of the letter and the details about the sender is not important.

No return address is included, no name signature at the end of the letter and no posting on social media announcing what you are doing.

The letters are not meant for self-fulfilling recognition but to let the recipient decide the final impact as they choose.

The spirit of The Anonymous Letter Project is to invest in a selfless act in hopes to create small change in how we see and communicate with one another.

Who created The Anonymous Letter Project?

The creator of The Anonymous Letter Project has their own motivation that is unique to them. Revealing their personal motive would go against the purpose of the project by putting the focus on the creator. It is for the recipient to decide based on their own personal experience.
